On today’s episode I am sharing a conversation I had with the amazing Miranda Anderson about how she lives with full confidence, and how she used that confidence to pursue a dream and idea that led to her soon-to-be released book More Than Enough (linked below!)! It’s all about what her family learned from a year of practical minimalism- and before you check out and say meh- not for me- don’t get turned off just yet! Miranda brings a whole new perspective and depth to this topic and this whole episode is a constant line up of amazing takeaways I KNOW will serve you.
You all know I love to say “enough is a decision”…but how do you really come to BELIEVE and ACCEPT that you really are enough?
It’s one thing to tell ourselves constantly that we have a good life and family and home and job etc and that all of that should be enough. It is a whole other thing to truly feel and act from abundance. Miranda walks us through how eliminating the option for more allowed her to see the value in what she already had, and in who she already was. Because if we are always just talking about everything being enough but our actions are still in the BUY more, DO more, HUSTLE more, GET more business… the saying and the doing aren’t lining up and you are left feeling like an ungrateful, thirsty loser. Self-sabotage coming in hot!
We also explore the idea of confidence and that it really is just trusting yourself. You have everything you need right now to be confident, and you don’t even need proof to “back it up”. Miranda shares her unicorn perspective on not being a perfectionist and how knowing she doesn’t know it all, but also knowing that it’s fine she doesn’t know it all, allows her to release impossible expectations and create more freely and ACT on inspiration when it comes. Done is fun! One practice here is to show up for yourself in the small things, so that when the big things come you trust yourself to get through it. As Miranda said, “I can do this! It might just suck for a while.”

Think of something you are really wanting that you don’t have, we all have that mental list right? If you had that thing, how would that change how you feel? Now ask yourself, can you feel that feeling without getting the thing? Can you decide that what you have right now is enough to feel the way you want to feel? YAS! This is some powerful thought werk!
