On December 20, 2017 I was hit by a car while jogging. It’s been two months and I’m feeling well enough to share the details of what happened, and what that experience was like for me. As well as the insights and lessons I’m learning along the way. Being able to share what I’ve learned and what I’m still learning from this difficult experience helps make it more meaningful for me, and I sincerely hope that it might help you with a difficult experience, or any type of “hit” that you might have had or are experiencing in our life I basically need every tool we’ve talked about on the podcast in the past year, and some new ones too!
Here are a few things I learned from being hit by a car:
- You don’t get to control the hits!
- Accepting help is a talent.
- You don’t get exactly what you wish for, you get exactly what you need.
- It’s pretty cool to know that you’re stronger than you think you are.
- It doesn’t have to be that hard.
- Trust the timing of your life.
