It’s easy to think that because we have time or the ability to do something, that the only reason we don’t do it is because we’re lazy and the worst! But what if there’s another factor?! (Hint: there is!) In this episode the wildly popular and amazing speaker and self-love advocate Sarah Landry of @thebirdspapaya and I discuss how capacity isn’t the same as ability! Sarah shares the hard lessons that have helped her learn this important distinction! And gives us all 3 concrete ideas for measuring where your capacity is at RIGHT NOW! Sarah is insightful, hysterical, transparent, and downright DELIGHTFUL! You’re going to LOVE this conversation, and thought nuggets Sarah shares!
Having trouble even knowing where your capacity is at or what to do about it? Sarah has us covered with these 3 brilliant tips!
- Try to decipher the difference between things you just don’t want to do vs. things you don’t have the capacity for. Tune in to how you feel immediately after saying yes or no to something!
- Break things down into small, manageable tasks to avoid feeling overwhelmed! Try prioritizing things by function. For example toilets still flush with a water ring…so you can let go of needing to clean your toilet for a minute!
- Ask yourself what would fill you up? Give the energy and capacity you DO have to those things!
