Mother’s Day Brunch: Cucumber Lime Punch

Ok, listen, this Cucumber Lime punch is so good, it’s so refreshing, it’s so crisp, it’s going to blow your mind. I am not overselling this damn punch.

It’s non-alcoholic, because I don’t drink alcohol, but I’m sure you boozy gals could think of something saucy to spike it with if you wanted!

I served this at the Mother’s Day Brunch I did for my girlfriends, and don’t forget the Honeycomb Pineapple tutorial is here!

For the Beary Cute Baby Shower I spent DAYS and hours in the kitchen, baking and slaving away. And Kimmy shows up with this punch and all I got, the whole shower was, “WOW! That punch you made is AMAZING!” And I said, “I made everything BUT the punch.” And they’d say, “Oh, yeah, that’s good too.”

Hahaha. That’s how good this punch is! So I’m just warning you, don’t spend too much time or money on food, because if you’re waiting for people to validate your efforts, this punch will prove far too distracting with every thirst-quenching sip.

At the Mom’s Rule Brunch I was smarter. I knew how delicious and beautiful the beverage was going to be, so I not only incorporated it as part of the table décor, but I didn’t bother spending too much time on food. Yogurt parfaits, grapefruit, baked goods, and THIS DRINK: it was perfect. I mean something savory would have been good too but I’m not made of money guys.

Are you officially sold? See how to make it.

Ok I stole this recipe from Kimmy, and she stole it from her mama. It’s very simple but the order in which you place the ingredients in the punch bowl matters.

1. You’ll need 1 bottle of Diet 7UP or Diet Sprite, Diet something along those lines, one can of limeade concentrate, 1 cucumber and some party ice or pellet ice. That matters!
2. Put the concentrate and soda in your punch bowl/pitcher/holy vessel.
3. Slice up the cucumber and put it in.
4. LAST pour the ice on top. It’s ok, it’s gonna melt and it makes it better.

Then sit back and wait for everyone to drone on and on about how fantastic it is. If for some reason you don’t like this punch don’t even bother telling me. So many people have confirmed that it’s the best punch ever we’ll just all have to assume your taste buds are in the wrong. I apologize in advance if your taste buds hate you.

Have fun punchy friends!
