Having kids has forced me to think about holidays way in advance. I don’t know why, it’s like we need things to talk about? Haha, or a way to mark the passing of time? I’ve noticed that a lot of moms do this. We start talking about holidays/events way before they happen.
I really like something to look forward to, whether it’s a Diet Coke after naps or a birthday coming up. I live my life basically going from project to project, and deadline to deadline. Actually my life is just a series of deadlines right now. Haha. That’s why Holidays really work for me. They give me tons of inspiration, they center around family, and they are a FINITE deadline. BOOM.
When I was in college I never thought about Holidays until the day or two before. Even when Gigi was one or two I didn’t know what she was going to be for Halloween until like, the week of Halloween. But this year, when she could talk about it, and understand the concept, we started talking about her costume on like the first day of September.
I think that’s why I’ve become obsessed with decorating for the Holidays. It doesn’t matter what’s coming up, I just like to be festive and having something to look forward to, and it’s something that I can involve my kids in, so I do it how I do everything: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTREME.
Anyway, whether you’re like me or not, whether you just want a fun craft to pass a long winter’s night, or you want to deck the mother f-ing halls, I’ve rounded up some awesome last-minute Thanksgiving Craft Ideas and Printables I’ve seen around the web that are BOMB.
So go get em tiger. Live your life! Celebrate! And make some crap.
All sources for all these ideas ARE HERE!
I’m hosting a baby shower tonight! I’m super excited, and if you’re interested you can follow along with my party prep on Instagram.

This is my first holiday season as a mom and I started Christmas in October. I used to be a stickler for waiting till I felt like it was Christmas but now I feel like I only have maybe 2 hours of free time a day so I wanted to start early! I started my Halloween a week before and I felt like I only enjoyed my decorations for a day or two. I’m determined to enjoy Christmas! 🙂
