I can neither confirm nor deny whether or not all of these tassels were used appropriately. CHA CHA CHA!

This is the FIRST thing I’ve hung in our bedroom, we’ve been in there almost a year! Ha, but I really really like it! I hung it a little low so I could put my tassel garland above it. The print faces our bed so Eric can stare at it as he falls asleep and remember how important I am to him.

Read Between the Lines is the maker of that gorgeous “You are my bucket list” print. You can get it here!

STEP 1. Carefully pull out about 15″ of thread and snip it off. Try REALLY hard not to tangle up the neat little loops that the thread comes wound in.

STEP 2. Fold the embroidery floss in half over a pencil or something to keep everything neat.

STEP 3. Wind the 15″ of thread around the top of the folded floss. Keep things nice and even! Using hot glue, secure the end of the 15″ piece in place.

STEP 4. Snip the ends of the floss.

You’re done! I have some other ideas for how to use these, but really the sky is the limit! I strung mine on some white floss to hang as a garland. To do that I just used a fat needle with the floss, and caught a couple pieces of the top threads of the tassel with the needle.

I really liked pairing a colorful garland with this black and white print!

  1. Just swooning a bit over here over these lovely tassels! I pretty much want to put them on every pillow I own, not to mention every single curtain. Can’t wait to make these!

  2. Love the way you did the tassels! I posted a similar method recently, and used them both on a necklace and to make a little garland, as well, but yours just look a little more polished. Really cute project.

    Hi,

I recently saw on the RBTL Facebook page that you can find a 25% discount code on your website, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Can you please clarify? Hoping to use it for the “I’m feeling tipsy and fresh” poster.

    Thanks!
