Buy & DIY: Planters

With a new baby I’m spending a lot more time inside. Gigi and I make it to the park and out for walks as much as possible, but as I’m still recovering a bit, I don’t get out as much as I’d like. Especially with how beautiful the weather has been! Maybe that’s why I’ve been really into the idea of plants inside my home. Well that and I’ve been seeing some AMAZING planters around. So here are three you can buy…or three you can DIY.

BUY & DIY clever, right?!

I love tooting my own horn. Though I’m sure I’m not the first one to think of it, but shhh don’t rain on my parade.

I’ve been SUPER spoiled post-baby, and sweet Alyssa from Indie and Arrow sent me some hanging rope planters! So now I just need to go get some plants. Then I’ll show you how rad they are.

Any good ones I missed?

  1. i scored some indie and arrow planters too….. i’m antsy to get to the nursery for good succulents (and pots! ohhhh the possibility with the pots!)

  2. OHHHHH HOW I LOVE YOU ALISON!!! You just made my year! 🙂 Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Can’t wait to see what you do with yours 😉

  3. Well, I for one have not heard the buy or DIY phrase before, and now I wish I’d thought of it! You, my dear, are a genius! xo

  4. Love your hanging pots posts. I did see a display in Anthropologie recently where the half cone shaped pot is bound to the wall and it contains real, silk, and paper flowers. What’s truly unique is that the “paper” flowers are two dimensional cut outs that have been pasted to the wall to blend in with the real and silk flowers as an extended bouquet. I want to try it at home but haven’t been able to find the time yet.
    Thanks for you post!

    1. oooh that sounds sooo cool! I love the idea of putting paper flowers in there, I want to do that too!
