Polymer Clay Earring Tutorial

Today we’re going to be making some easy earrings from polymer clay.

These are so simple and quick to make in bulk. I plan on stocking up on a few pairs and keeping them on hand for gifts. Plus there is something totally therapeutic about working with clay! I hope you enjoy the video!

If you’re at work, hard of hearing, or just can’t watch the video, here’s a basic overview of how to make your easy polymer clay earrings.
– Polymer clay (I don’t prefer one brand over the other)
– Clay Glaze (I like the sculpey brand)
– Earring posts
– Fine glitter
– Tacky glue (good for glittering)
– Industrial strength glue (I used E-6000)
– Acrylic Paint (you can paint your earring if using white clay, or use to add designs.)
First, work the clay in your hands so it’s nice and soft. Then make your shape. To make the heart cleavage use the end of a needle or toothpick. When you are ready, bake the clay according to the directions on the package.
Once your figures have cooled, you can either paint them with acrylic paint, or you can skip this step and go straight to glazing them. Follow the directions of the bottle. (You will not bake it again.) To add glitter on the diagonal you can refer to this tutorial! Once the earrings are dry use the industrial glue to add your earring backs.
How sweet are those!?

On Monday I will be sharing one more clay earring tutorial…are you ready? I call it, “The Fang.”
And it’s going to blow your mind.

Have a great weekend!

Allison, I just needed you to know that I am having to do some blah work right now on the net, but I stopped by your blog, and I swear at this moment nothing could make me smile..then there was the Allison thinks you're A-OK pic. Oh man, it totally broke me. You're the best, and now I can totally picture your voice (although in my head it's totally scratchy ;))Remember when you posted about blogging woes and what to do etc.? Well, you're doing it. You're living the dream babe. I'm totally inspired with the way you've put your heart into it. Maybe someday I'll try and do that to. 🙂
