Tomorrow my sweet, precious, Ginger Jane turns one. To commemorate this I had planned on posting all sorts of reflections and thoughts. But, that will have to wait until next week. Because right now I’ve got to get back to a tiered, 5-layer birthday cake, gem encrusted cupcakes, lemon curd filling from scratch, sugar cookies with royal icing, and an array of homemade decorations. Yes, I’m THAT mom. And damn proud of it.
I was fairly diligent about taking Gigi’s “month” photos. And so I share them with you now.
I am beyond honored and humbled to be a mother. It’s by far the greatest thing I’ve ever done in my life. More thoughts on this to come. But for now I hope you have a happy weekend, pray for no rain tomorrow!
