She needs a new computer.

Unfortunately my, “startup disk is full” and no matter how many things I delete I get “Disk Full Alert!” “Disk Full Alert!” Isn’t Apple ingenious? They create multiple products that cannot possibly last longer than 4 years, just enough time so that you can somewhat justify “a new computer” to yourself, and more than enough time to learn that you are useless without “a new computer.”

Long story short, I won’t be uploading anymore pictures at the moment, but you should check out Elaine from Clothed Much looking SUPER DUPER FLY in fringe, if you haven’t already…

Here’s a peek.

I think this kind of makes me a celebrity? oh please, who are we kidding?

You can also hop on The Little Tiny Facebook Page to see my lady Emily looking super funky fresh in her fringe.

Have a FABULOUS weekend! Next week I will expand your mind with yet another super hot tutorial that will probably blow through the Internet like wildfire…or at least this blog. Grand promise? Let’s see if I deliver.

  1. Rachel

Fun, I'm looking forward to it

  2. Heather

Have you tried emptying your trash, on the desktop AND in iPhoto? I know it's a dumb question, but I knew someone who had the same problem and they never thought to empty their trash in iPhoto, which takes up space. xoxo

  3. Alison

haha, thanks, yes. It's all empty. I just have more large files than the average bear because of all of my illustrator stuff!

  4. LyddieGal

Well, seems like you just need a huge external hard drive OR a huge new internal hard drive. Actually, why not both?
And if your computer is four years old, perhaps a little more ram too? I'm sure she'd love it.

I was suffering from chronic disc full alerts (especially when using photoshop) so now I've got four TB of external space and we are happy.

    Chic on the Cheap

    so simple,

    so genius.

    don't tell my husband!

    thanks for the tips!

  6. Diana Smith

Hey!! I met you at Bijou! Cute blog lady!

  7. Little Gray Pixel

I had the same problem, and I just bought a 1.5 terabyte external hard drive. Now EVERYTHING is on it, and my computer is free!

By everything, I mean 10 years of photos, photoshop files, my entire mp3 collection, etc.

  8. Alison

OK! But here's my question, if I have an external hard drive, does it have to be attached to my computer while I'm working with the file?

See, I have a laptop and I'm quite mobile with it. I have kind of an external hard drive I save things to for back up, but I don't like to have it around all the time.

Do I probably just need more INTERNALLY?

(think about that, it sounds like I'm getting deep!)

  9. Sarah loves it all

    Dear Alison,

Your blog is the bomb. I have a feeling it's going to blow up very soon. (in a good way) I found your DIY baby clothes on Pinterest, came over and hip, hilarious, hooked.
