Release Date: November 27, 2015
The Air Jordan 8 Aqua was first seen by the world during the 1993 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City. Little did we know that it would be a while before Michael Jordan would play in another All-Star Game since he retired (the first time) after the end of the 1992-93 NBA season, so he went out with quite the memorable pair. It is one of the most wanted kicks by fans to get a retro release, which is a little odd considering where most of the those same fans would place the 8 on the pantheon of great Air Jordans.

Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: Congrats to everybody that’s been waiting a long time for these. Your journey is finally over. Well, if you’re the type to line up at the mall on a Black Friday your journey is over. But for the rest of us who like to sleep through the madness, we’ll be setting our alarms early so we can hit “add to cart” really fast.
Juan Carrillo, News: I’ll probably get some heat for what I’m about to say, but in all honesty, I think the Air Jordan 8 silhouette has to be one of the most hideous retros that Jordan ever wore. Those cross straps maaaan! The cross straps are the deal breaker for me. I know the Air Jordan 8, particularly the “Aqua” colorway garners plenty of hype, but I’m more than okay in letting these pass me by and let someone else who’s feelin’ them, try to cop a pair.
