Awesome with Alison Ep. 33: Unsung Strengths: Being a Supporter!
October 5, 2017 Alison Faulkner

Things like hustle, achievement, and action get A LOT of praise, air time, and attention. But today we are singing praises to what we are calling an unsung strength: being a supporter! In this episode we want to hold up a mirror and help you see how AMAZING and needed your supportive qualities are, and show those of you who excel at this just how awesome you are.
And for those of you who are like me, and rely heavily on supportive people, we are giving some pointers on how to be more of a cheerleader and appreciate the supportive people in your life. I think this episode is going to make you love yourself even more, and feel really awesome after, so we hope you enjoy!

Okay, so I don’t usually comment on stuff like this and for some reason I feel really nervous, maybe because sometime you actually read these on your podcast.. lol anyway, I just wanted to write in and thank you and Eric for doing your podcast. I first heard about it from my friend Kristie, and started with episode one. (Back story, I just moved to Texas from Utah and am a hairstylist who was feeling overwhelmed at building a new clientele after having had one for 3 years) So I was brainstorming one day how I could get more people into my chair and listened to a couple of your podcasts and I’m pretty sure you mentioned this in more than one, but it was that quote by Tony Robins where he says something like.. You never run out of resources you only run out of resourcefulness. So I realized, it doesn’t matter if I have any friends or know anyone here, there are millions of people in Dallas! So I started reaching out to people on instagram and even took an instagram webinar.. long story short, I just felt super empowered and felt like the inspiration that I took from your podcasts were kind of the “last straw” that I needed to kind of kick into gear, get a little bit more creative, and reach out to people. I also have talked about this with all of the people that I have reached out to that have actually come into my salon!! (It’s working! ahh!) *side note-and one of the women that I reached out to posted a picture of her and I on insta quoting Tony Robins which all stems from your podcast. Wow, sorry this was so long. Basically I am just trying to say thanks, I care, and if I ever met your kids I think I would probably care about them too.. You guys are AWESOME and hilarious and inspiring. Sorry if half of this was irrelevant or way too many words.

Hope you come to San Antonio too! Thank you for all of the postive vibes you both put out into the world!!!!! I was in this huge life rut, of a what now, and you have helped me stay on track, loose 30 pounds, and so much more. We love y’all!
