Hop to it! It’s time to get springy and make some sugar cookies for somebunny you love! I know, I know, you’re impressed my affinity for puns. Eh?

So I made these cookies a few weeks ago, you know, to be ON TOP OF IT FOR ONCE IN MY FREAKING LIFE. But now I feel like I haven’t TRULY made Easter cookies, so I might need to make a few more.

Or I could just watch the whole season of Empire again, like I did last week.

What I’m saying is I’m an over-achiever.

And right now RIGHT NOW until Saturday March 28 at midnight you can get 20% off my online sugar cookie course: ALISON’S COOKIE PARTY with the code bunnyfever

CHECK OUT MY COURSE HERE!

In Alison’s Cookie Party I give you my recipe and routine for the PERFECT sugar cookie, as well as my recipes for royal icing and show you how to master the different consistencies needed to make cookies like these. So all the answers you have to questions like that are in my course, and then in this post I’m sharing some insight on how I made these particular cookies and the supplies I used. If you’re looking for some Alison’s Cookie Party reviews, you can read some here!

So in case you need some more sugar cookie inspiration to rev your spring baking engine…throw your mittens around your kittens and AWAY WE GO!

For these bunnies I used my black gel color with some lemon juice, and then painted them on with a food paint brush. Which is just a paint brush you use for food. I like these Wilton Decorating Brushes because they have super soft bristles and I like the sizes they come in! I painted the bunny head, let them dry, then piped the eyes and whiskers.

Then I wanted to play around with some eggs and chicks, just using an easter egg cookie cutter. I felt fairly eggcellent about the results.

I used my smaller Alphabet Cookie Cutters. They are not as easy work with as my Larger Alphabet Cookie Cutters, but they are so STINKING cute, and they are just 1.5″ cookies, so I like how many you can make. Just know that you’ll need your dough always chilled when you work with them, as I recommend anyway, because they are a little tedious to remove from the cutter-and having the dough chilled helps a lot.

I made these tiny little babies, inspired by those tiny fluffy chicks you get at craft stores, by piping on some yellow icing then using a toothpick to kind of pull out some points to look like fur. I love how small they are!

These Anna Rifle Bond inspired floral cookies, are a new version of some cookies I did last year, I just wanted to try some new colors and to perfect the wet-on-wet-on-wet look without a lot of bumps.

And then you know how I love to get inspirational with my cookies. Like the ones I did here. So “Do What You Want. Love What you Do.” Is a motto I’m trying to live by lately, so of course I made it edible.

I love that rainbow cookie cutter and the cloud! They are both from a favorite of mine: HomePrint 3D on Etsy.

And that’s it! Some spring and easter sugar cookies for ya!
