If you give someone these earrings they will be as happy as Lizy was when I gave them to her!

I’m always looking for quick and fun gifts that I can make for my girlfriends. In fact I just rounded up: 10 DIY Gifts To Make Your Girlfriends (That You Can Make for $10 or Less!) on my babble blog!

But one of my favorite things to make friends is jewelry! It’s inexpensive, relatively quick, and you can usually make one project fit a wide range of styles.

So when my 12 Months of Martha package showed up with these ADORABLE snowflake embellishments, I wanted to use them for something that had a little more staying power than a card…yes you guessed it, like JEWELRY!

These Easy Snowflake Earrings are SO quick you can hardly call them a project, but they still have the fun factor of a handmade gift.

I used some hook earring backings that I had from another project, but you could use post earring backs as well.

To make 4 pairs of these Easy Snowflake Earrings you’ll need:

1 package of Martha Stewart Frosty Elegance Pearl Snowflakes (there are 9 snowflakes in a package for about $4)

Super glue (or E6000 but don’t use hot glue- it won’t hold)

Earring backings- I used these awesome ones from Martha Stewart Jewelry Line, I have the best luck finding Martha stuff at Michael’s.

I just peeled off the little foam adhesive part on the back and superglued the earrings to the backings.

I used this Bright Star punch to make some snowflakes for the wrapping, and used a gift sticker from Martha’s Peppermint Winter Label Book. When I make something simple like this I like to really glam it up with the wrapping.

I was trying to take pictures of myself wearing the earrings during the kid’s nap time, haha, and it just was NOT working taking selfies with a DSLR. Luckily Lizy stopped by and I was able to gift her a pair of these earrings in exchange for her modeling!

I also wore these earrings last night on a date with Eric and I felt very festive!

And if you’re looking for other fun jewelry projects to try that would work great as gifts check out my:

Happy holidays!
