Gobble gobble friends! It’s almost Thanksgiving! I hope you’re all ready to shove your fat faces! I know I am.

Ok first off, do you notice something different?! Probably not so I’ll just tell you. We used to have our TV above our fireplace, and now we don’t! I used to have to crop all pictures about 4″ above the fireplace, see here.

I had to beeeeeg Eric to move it because he really liked where it was, and there was a bunch of drilling involved to move it, BOO HOO. Haha, but I asked him to do it on my birthday, so he couldn’t say no! I wanted to be able to decorate the mantle! I know this sounds silly, but I disliked how when you walked in our house that a big ol’ TV was the crowning center of our home. Not a family picture, or a seasonal display, but a boob tube. So now I’m giddy with mantle display ideas, and this Gobble Gobble Thanksgiving bunting is the first of many mantle displays to come. (I’ve just fully embraced the dorkiness of this, I’m not apologizing for frivolity anymore, just expect it).

SOOOOO if you’re looking for a way to EASILY spruce up your pad for your big Turkey Day feast, or easy an easy Thanksgiving craft idea for over your mantle or table or whatever, here you go!

This month’s 12 Months of Martha package had some really amazing stuff in it. And some HOT goodies that I’ll be sharing later. But as usual, one of the easiest things in the package was the pad of decorative paper. So many metallics! Silver! Gold! Glitter…

I used the glittery gold that came in the pack to add “GOBBLE GOBBLE” (because I had already used the word “thankful” for this bunting and I couldn’t think of anything else Thanksgivingish) to a .99 garland I picked up at Wal-mart. I used my “slice” to cut out the letters, because I have one. Because one time I filmed like 9 instructional videos for them…what?

But I created a free download with similar letters.

All you need to do is print the letters on the paper, cut them out, then hot glue them to the pre-made garland! You could do this for any party really to fit a theme. It would be cute at a kid’s party and you could put their name on it!

Now don’t forget, I’ve got some other fun Thanksgiving crap you should check out. Like my acorns:

and my Turkey T! I need to make Rad one ASAP! I actually have this one pictured still, but I feel like he needs his own.

That’s Gigi and her cousin JoJo 2 years ago! SOB.

Anyway. I hope you’re enjoying decorative gourd season.

Lots of love
