Hey! So I’m very very excited to be involved in a small way with this great event to benefit the Children’s Justice Center in Utah County.
The Dollhouse Festival is a local charity event that raises money for the victims of child abuse. I’ve been asked by my friend Brittany, who is amazing, to drum up some donations and shoppers for the boutique.
All proceeds from the boutique, which consists of handmade donations, goes to the Children’s Justice Center.
The CJC is a small, homelike facility, where families can take children who have suffered from sexual or physical abuse. The center is an alternative to taking children to the police station to report the crimes. It’s designed to help children feel safe and comfortable so that they may begin to deal with the difficult and frightening issues that surround abuse. The focus and function of the Children’s Justice Center is to reduce the trauma of the child abuse investigation and help the child feel safe to reveal the truth.
I’ll be donating some mobiles, and other items! I’ll also be at the boutique, I’ll let you know the exact times later, to say hi and be annoying.
You do NOT need to have an online shop to donate.
If you’ve made anything you think will sell, they want it! The boutique is one of many events to raise money for the CJC, if you’d like to see the other events you can participate in go here!
The boutique is held at the Provo City Library Fri., Sept. 27: 10 am – 8 pm and Sat., Sept. 28: 10 am – 5pm
If you’d like to donate ANY items contact the fabulous Brittany at email@example.com
As a mother, I often look at my beautiful children, who have so many people who love them, and have never suffered from abuse, and I begin to feel overwhelmed for all the children in the world who do not have the same situation. I worry about the future and how to keep them safe from the world. I get so depressed and upset just THINKING about the pain and suffering children are subjected to, I can hardly process it. I cried like 5 times making that little flier. Ha, but I’m so thankful for people who are smarter and better than me, and have found ways to help these children. I am humbled to be able to use my skills to finally help out, and not just get sad. I’m sure there are so many mamas who feel just like I do.
So please! Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be sure to keep you updated!
Lots of love,
