Remember how I’m participating in the fabulous 12 Months of Martha challenge?! Well February FLEW by, but the box was full of the most amazing goodies! There were a lot of awesome punches and paper products, like the ones used to make this adorable bunny silhouette, but of course I was drawn to the yarn in the GORG spring colors that came in the package.
And then I thought of a way to have that yarn add some…yes, yes MORE FUN TO YOUR BUN! Or as shown here, fun to your BUMP.
It’s super simple to do! Check it out.
I have made pom-poms every way possible. And I will say I really just love these lil Clover pom-pom makers the most. I have a video on how to use them here!
I sewed the pom-poms to felt to help stabilize them on the clip. Just make sure to bring your needle up through the center of the pom-pom and do 3-4 secure stitches. You can hot glue the felt if you’d like, but if you want multiple pom-poms I had better luck sewing them.
And yes, I am participating in the Martha Stewart challenge and they DO provide me with craft supplies, BUT it is important that you use good yarn like theirs, like soft-to-the-touch yarn, if you want your pom-poms to look really fluffy. They cheap-o stuff makes stringy looking pom-poms. These are just the facts people.
My girl Lindsay stopped by, look how hot she’s looking in her pom!
Obviously these look good on little girls and little buns too, but I styled them on some of us mamas to show you I PERSONALLY think they perk up any old outfit! And it’s all about being more perky these days.
Let me know if you have any questions and happy pom-pom making!
And have a happy weekend!
