Quick Valentine: Cupid’s Sticky Arrow

cupids-sticky-arrow
So there I am, rummaging around Instagram, and I come across the MOST adorable little vignette! Those pom-poms! Those ARROWS! I DIED. So naturally I did what any normal human would do, I asked for the girl’s email and started chatting her up!

Turns out Erika, or @trippleedub on the gram, is thinking about starting a blog! She just hasn’t gotten around to it yet. So I asked if she’d like to share some ideas on mine…and she said WEEEEEE! Or I said, “WEEEEE!” She said, “Yes!”

To check out the particulars of how to make these Sticky Arrows, continue reading!

Erika says:

1. Collect sticks and twigs while on a nice winter stroll in varying widths and lengths. Using pruning shears or scissors, cut a handful (depending on how many “feathers” you want your arrow to have) of two inch long pieces off one of the sticks at a slight angle so they’ll adhere to the bigger stick easily.

2. Use Modge Podge to glitter the ends, and acrylic paint to add some color and sparkle to the sticks.

3. After the glitter and paint have fully dried, add the tip! Place one of the felt shapes face down on your work surface, put the stick down on top of your shape, followed by a generous amount of hot glue and then sandwich the remaining felt piece right on top. Give it a few presses all the way around with your fingertips to make sure the glue has done its job.

4. Step back and admire your new Love Day decor that will definitely be staying up year round at my house. Stick them all in a mason jar, hang them from a banner, or wrap some yarn around them and you’ve got a beautiful accent piece to any empty space in your home!

So cute right?! Thank you so much Erika! I love this idea so so so much! I think it would be cute to wrap yarn around the sticks too!

And even though Valentine’s day is ALMOST UPON US! Gigi and I might make some of these to have a decoration around the house.

And if you’re into Cupid, you’ll die when you see what Eloise & Me did to her lil Rosie baby!

Happy happy day!
