I’m SUPER excited about this DIY! It’s my first contribution for Minted’s new blog called Julep. I made this a while ago and I’ve been dying to share it with you! It’s quick and inexpensive enough that you totally have time before Thanksgiving to get it done!

As you can see the larger acorns have chalkboard paint on them. Gigi has been LOVING them all month. She likes to put the glitter acorns in a pile, and the chalkboard acorns in a pile. I find the little piles all over the house. She also loves swinging the acorns by their stems. I was worried she would break them but they’ve really held up!

The chalkboard acorns would also work really well as place cards and a distraction at the kids table (or adults!).

I love this idea. Oh, and I just found your blog from C Jane’s. I spent the weekend reading your blog. I’ve got to say, I am now a fan of the Alison show.

Thank you! I want to make more, and make a whole set to set around the table! Well when I get a table, which I’m hoping is by next year!
