I feel about like my witch.
It’s kind of disgusting to talk about toes, so you can leave now if you’d like. I won’t be mad. But on instagram I posted a RIDICULOUS looking picture of my toe all bandaged up. A lot of people asked about it, visualize me behind a giant fishing pole reeling you in, and long-story-kind-of-short: a year ago I dropped a can of spray adhesive on my toe while HARD CORE CRAFTING. After much pain, a trip to the emergency room and a panic attack (I don’t like the emergency room) the toenail fell off. The nail grew back, badly, there has been much pain, much much pain, and a lot of me ignoring the toe. So when I finally got the thing looked at (for the most painful ingrown toenail ever) the whole toenail had to come off.
At the time the nurse was like, “The whole toenail might need to come off, but maybe just watch it for a few days…” And I was like, It’s a miracle I showed up for this appointment, I probably will never come back, so TAKE THE THING OFF, it’s UGLY!” But now I realize why she hesitated, because it’s kind of debilitating. Which is silly, because it’s a toenail.
But unless it’s elevated it’s throbbing, I can’t walk very well, and the bandage is so huge and dramatic I look like a cartoon. All I’m missing is a flashing red arrow pointing to it.

Sad! I saw your instagram and thought, ” I hope that isn’t from last years crafty package packing incident!!!”. I hope there isn’t any subconscious association of the pain and any particular person!

Billy booby-trapped the closet with a fire extinguisher that fell on my toe, so I can safely say that I feel your pain. Currently waiting for the little buggar to fall off (my toenail, not my husband), all while silently praying that it does during boot season, not sandal season.
