Sewing patterns for lil ladies

Sewing patterns for lil ladies

Ok! So last year I saw this on some blogs and I wanted to participate, but it was too late. But thankfully I saw Amanda mention the Kids Clothes Week Challenge on her blog this year, just in nick of time!

Here’s how the challenge works!

1. You leave a comment on Elsie Marley’s blog telling her you want IN
2. You sew everyday for 7 days straight Oct. 8-14
3. You sew for one hour each day
4. Preferably you sew children’s clothes, as it is the KIDS CLOTHES challenge

And that is it!

It’s just a fun way to motivate one another to spend some time creating great Fall pieces for our kiddos. You don’t HAVE to sew, you could crochet or knit too, it’s just about getting your craft on!

Elsie Marley has a really awesome Flickr group where you can show your stuff, and get inspired by what other people are making. She also has a bunch of free buttons and images if you want to share those on your blog. You can find out more about the challenge here!

But in order to get you PUMPED up, I thought I’d share some patterns/tutorials that would be fun to work on during the week!

Tint “T” tutorial (free pattern) // Elastic Waist Skirt tutorial (free pattern) // Urban Kimono Sweater (PDF PATTERN $6) // Ava Blouse (PDF pattern $6)

I bought that Ava Blouse pattern about a week ago, I’ve already made one (it was a gift for a friend.) But I didn’t grab a good picture of it before I gifted it! So I’ll have to make one for my Gigi! The pattern is only $6 and it’s SUPER. I love all of Too Sweets patterns on Etsy, they are simple and smart.

So I’m pretty excited! Let me know if you’re gonna participate and we can cheer each other on.

Also, I tried to find some good sewing tutorials for little boys or even patterns, you know, to even things out for you all! But I seriously had the hardest time. So please, share some with me if you know of any. Thanks in advance!

Have a happy weekend. And don’t forget to enter my giveaway for the ice cream book here. It ends Friday night!

Thank you for this! Penny is growing out of clothes and I’ve been searching for the inspiration to start sewing stuff for her again. Tiny T’s, of course, are always on my list 🙂

    Hello,

I love the skirt, did you make it? I was wondering what fabric combination you used?

    Thanks.
