I’ve taken my show on the road!

I’ve taken my show on the road!
April 18, 2012 Alison Faulkner

There are several of things I have neglected to mention:

1. I now drive a mini-van. And yes, I once said I’d never drive a mini-van. It’s white, it has a DVD player, and it totally makes me even more of a cliche when I drive through the gas station to pick up my 32oz Diet Dr. Pepper…everyday. I love this van.

2. My family and I will be in the mini-van for the next month driving all over our fine country! BUT DO NOT panic, I have packed  a large bin of craft supplies, as well as my sewing machine and some awesome fabric.

3. We have people staying in our house…so don’t even think about it!

But where am I now? For the next week or so Gigi and I are in San Diego with my parents and family. Eric is in Texas (for work) and Gigi and I will fly there to meet him at the end of the week. I can never remember where we’re going. Tennessee? New Orleans? Washington DC? All of the above? Something like that. HA! But for now, the cousins have been reunited and it has been so sweet. But because I’ve been playing all day, I don’t have any crafts to share with you…yet. So please indulge me as I share these quaint pictures of Gigi and I picking strawberries in Carlsbad, CA with my mom, my big bro Kirk, my sister Andrea and the infamous Jojo!

I did a HORRIBLE packing job. I packed approximately 4 things to wear. Not to mention I’m having some issues with zippers on a lot of my pants. As in my pants are too tight. As in I ate too many donuts. As in, welcome to swim suit season Alison, did you bring a guest?

I love you all.

xo,
Alison

I was unaware of the mini-van development. You’re can make any vehicle hip. Love you guys.

I miss you! Will you instagram just a little more so I can see you? Thanks.

    I know, I’m a little creepy.

P.S. Remember that one day when we were in the minivan and we were throwing bags of snacks to our kids in the way back of the minivan? That was AWESOME!

    One more thing….

I love that people keep asking me how I’m coping without you. The answer is: I’m NOT.

First, your new site is so beautiful. I refuse to read your blog on google reader (as in I come straight to the real thing). Second, if your road trip somehow zigs its way back to the west coast, let’s go to the beach! xo

    You’re new site is amazing!

    You in a mini-van? Now that’s fun.

I admire your crafty-ness. I hope to be inspired by you, enough to try my hand at being crafty. I used to be crafty. And then I had kids. Which should be even more excuse to craft. So, inspire me! I can’t wait.

This post made my day. I am also going to start calling the extra softness that is keeping my bathing suit from fitting a “guest.” So much more refined than the names (most of which were four letters) I have been calling it.

    Come home already.

You have no guests! None whatsoever! But I’m glad you got it! I wasn’t sure if it was one of those things that only made sense to me! xo

Love the new page 🙂 I can’t believe you drive a mini van…you are officially the coolest person in a van. What is the road trip for? Sounds really fun.
