I had seen it on Netflix for a while, but never REALLY thought about pushing play. I mean, I didn’t have to with so many episodes of Toddlers & Tiaras and Gossip Girl to keep me busy. But then I started hearing some buzz. “It was great!” “You’ll become obsessed!” And so, naturally, I needed to see for myself.
What COULD the Justin Bieber documentary, Never Say Never, have to offer to a 28-year-old mom, crafter, lover of Pink Floyd, and all around hip-cat like me? (Please note, I’m aware proclaiming oneself as “hip” automatically negates the statement)
Well I’ll tell you, A-LOT. In fact, I was SO blown away while watching Never Say Never I felt inclined to share with you:
10. Justin Bieber is CRAZY talented. I mean, I knew the little 7-year-olds down the street were into him (they’ve been doing choreographed dances in his honor for years) but he is like a mini MJ. I seriously had no idea how full of talent that bright-eyed, swishy-haired, gyrating adolescent was. RESPECT JB.
9. It’s always good to have a signature color. This is something I used to apply to my marathon days, I’d pick a power color for the race and pretend it made me faster. But I like this in my aim for stardom (everyday life) as well. Though, I’m not sure glitter, gold lame or sequins are “colors” I’d like those to be my signature look. FYI JB’s sig. color is purple. Surprised you didn’t know that.
8. JB loves donuts as much as I do. He pulled some out of the trash on tour. We have SO MUCH in common!
7. Sunglasses always always ALWAYS make you look cooler. Usher confirmed this fact yet again. And if you need even more evidence…

6. I really really really want to be One Less Lonely girl. Does anyone know how to make this happen for me? I was WRITHING on the floor with stress/ excitement/ embarrassment (lust?) JB really knows how to work the serenade.
5. When I sell out at Madison Square Garden, I’m going to make sure my roadies keep extra tickets on hand to give to my die-hard fans. It really means a lot to them.
4. JB went all across the country from radio station to radio station to promote his album. That takes dedication, humility, and guts. So, what am I doing to that extent to make my dreams come true? I mean, if JB can do it, why can’t we?
3. Following Justin Bieber on twitter immediately after watching the movie falls into the category of, “It seemed like a good idea at the time….”
2. Having segways backstage = awesome. But even if you are as hot as this JB you’ll still look like this JB…
and the number one thing I learned from watching Justin Bieber’s documentary…well it should be obvious:

So, it goes without saying I highly recommend the movie. Let me know if you get as many great take-aways as I did!

Ha – you are too funny!
Ok, this was hilarious but I'm NOT going to watch it, I'm afraid to catch whatever YOU caught!
ahahahaah I love it!
Oh and I'm having a Kate Spade giveaway, COME OVAH!!!

I'm in love with this post. My daughter got the DVD for her 6th birthday. She was excited beyond excitement. We had to watch it that evening after her birthday party, so of course she passed out 10 minutes into out of exhaustion.
But did I turn it right off? Oh no, I did not! I watched the whole thing. That little snot is talented! And kind of adorable. And I soooo wanted to be the "one last lonely girl". I may or may not have pictured myself perched on that stool waiting for JB to kiss my cheek and hand me a dozen red roses that I would dry and hang on my wall and keep forever and ever and always. I may have shed a tear or 30.
And it's entirely possible that the very next day I told my 6yo that we needed to watch it again since she fell asleep the first time.
Oh, JB…
I was there opening night with my 2 little girls. The squealing was deafening in the theater. I found myself getting pretty caught up in the frenzy, I even shed a tear or two (or twenty)
10. R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Find out what it means to me
9. Purple is a passionate color
8. Donuts aren't just for cops
7. I wear my sunglasses at night
6. The spot of one less lonely girl has been filled by one
40 yr old mom. And JB is thrilled…
5. Never forget the little people.
4. Never get too big for your britches
3. Tweeting is for birds
2. An ecstatic mob of teenage girls can not be outrun
via Segway.
1. Neba Eba say Neba!!!
And I say these things in the name…
(that may have been verging on sacrilege, sorry)
This was so last year, ha ha! But I am glad to see that you are on board with bieber!! You have caught the fever and this post is awesome!!
I saw it in the theater with my teenage sister, who was OBSESSED. I had barely heard of the guy, but was like, "A documentary? Maybe it will make me more well rounded." It was the afternoon and we were the only ones in the theater.
IT WAS MAGICAL!
My daughters are now obsessed, they fight over who is going to marry him. And I really hope one of them does.
I've never seen this movie. But you've convinced me. It may change my entire outlook on life!
I made my husband watch this with me on Netflix. I thought he'd fall asleep, but he was totally in to it. He is convinced every Dad with daughters should watch this.
I am a little scared that you have now possibly convinced me to watch this movie….eeek!!
Also – marathons?! You are quickly becoming my virtual online BESTIE!!!!!
+ this post made me smile and I will follow-up if I actually watch it
I LOVED this movie. Seriously. But girl, where have you been for the last, like, YEAR?! JB is the shiz.
JB4life.
He is so great. And this list just further deepens the burning passion. Never underestimate the power of swooning girls!
I wish that you would have seen it in the theater in 3D when it first came out. You know the part where they are in front of the backdrop with a couple of his homies and he does the hair flip? That is in 3D! It's amazeballs!
You are hilarious. Also I actually maybe paid money and rented that movie from redbox. It was worth every penny.
I totally cried during "One Less Lonely Girl."
how can you not love jb after a movie like that? Love this post! You brighten my day.
I totally agree with you! I was very surprised at how good it is. Last spring we were in CO with Mike's aunt who threw her daughter a JB bday party complete with 'plant the kiss on JB' and trivia game and cake ball microphones. I think mom was more obsessed with JB than daughter and highly recommended the movie. So when Mike took all our boys to the father's and sons campout I thought what better night than this to see it? Love it.
I just got Pink Floyd on vinyl! At the thrift store
I can't wait to listen to it. And, this definitely makes me respect the biebs.
