Spring Party Printables

My girl Melanie from Fifth & Hazel has REALLY outdone herself this time. She has put together the most beautiful FREE printables for Spring! Melanie is redesigning my site, and because I adore her I was happy to help her put together a little soiree to showcase some of her downloads.

Here the kiddos are water coloring some super hip eggs. Melanie has created these designs in black and white so you can do them as a party craft! The invitations have mini eggs on them that you can water color. You can turn them into these fabulous garlands for a party or for your home.

And you know what will happen when you involve THIS GIRL.

I made carrot cupcakes using this recipe. I made a simple cream cheese frosting for the top (butter, cream cheese, powder sugar, vanilla) and they were pretty freaking tasty! I even forgot the oil the recipe called for (don’t make cupcakes at midnight) and they were YUM. The toppers are the mini eggs from the back of the invites. I quickly cut them out and taped them to toothpicks.

It helps when your friends have adorable children.

Melanie also created these cupcake liners you can print and watercolor. I told you, she OUTDID herself. Get ALL the downloads here!

There may have been some guest appearances by some Provo all-stars. Meta (@onemoremushroom) took all the FABULOUS photos and Susan brought cute kids, a cool bike, and caffeine.

But just in case any of us started thinking we were cool the kids reminded us we are nothing compared to municipal workers.

Another fun thing we did was make these bunny cups! Tommorow I’ll share the how-to (if it’s not obvious) and I’ll give you a download for those little ears!

HOPPY SPRING!

Is Provo always such a mecca of beautiful fun people and parties??? I guess that is what happens wherever my Alison friend is.
    Awesome downloads!!!

  3. Juli:

Hey Alison, what size tip do you use to pipe your frosting? I love the big, loose star but all my tips seem to always be too small. Thanks, Juli

  4. Alison:

    Hey Juli!

So I used a size 7 star pastry tip. My exact one is the ateco cake tip 827. It's not ALL that large really, but if you hold your tip still and slowly push the icing out it will spread on the surface of the cupcake! It's my first time doing it actually and I couldn't believe how fast it is! Hope that's helpful!

  5. Melanie Burk:

thanks alison for always being willing to throw me a soiree. love it!

  6. Jess:

    So cute!

  7. Jessica Dahlquist:

Jealous I don't live closer. I think Parker will have to watercolor some eggs this week:) You are so fun.
