She’s into Lucky Feathers

Huh-looooooo out there! I hope you had a very happy memorial day, filled with lots of memorializing and white pants. That’s right! You can now officially break out your white pants!

We had mostly gross weather here, with a pop of sunshine in the early evening. I usually try to avoid stores on big sale days, but I might have been sucked into Joann’s with my coupons. However, some good and crafty things have already happened because of it, so hold onto your socks, cause I’m pretty sure in the next few weeks I could possibly knock them off.

And speaking of knocking your socks off, if YOU LIKE ME ON FACEBOOK you may have seen a sneak preview of my new pattern, The Lucky Feather pillow. I’m like 90% done with this pattern, and I’m really excited about it. My friend Heather Lea, took these pictures for me. She makes my stuff look so hip! Here are some of her amazing pictures of the pillow I sent her. I am pretty obsessed with the pictures, and the pillow.

Also, Lea just updated her Etsy shop with tons of amazing new photos of her sweet vintage clothing, you should really check it out at Maycomb Vintage, plus she’s having a 25% off moving sale!

See how if you do nice things for me, I will shamelessly promote you? Let that be a lesson to all of you…I’m VERY appreciative of those who do nice things for me.

And speaking of people who DON’T do nice things for me, Ginger has been in rare form the last few days. Flagrantly skipping all of her naps, and stealing any food she possibly can from our plates, bowls, floor, yard, carpet, and mouths, if at all possible. You would think we don’t feed her, but I assure you we do. Oh well, she’s still the best baby on the planet.

I love you all, thanks for humoring me and looking at pictures of things I make. I hope you don’t get struck with the case of Tuesday blues. I’m off to find some white pants.

xo

p.s. Have I mentioned how HAPPY I am that so many people are on board with me about this Olive Garden phenomenon?! Darcie, I just doubt they’re going out of business because they are packed every weekend starting at 5pm! I would know, because we had a gift card there (the only reason to eat there) and we had to go at 4 on a Friday in order to avoid an hour wait! Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

I adore the little tiny tag on the pillow!

I agree with the Oliver Garden thing. That place makes me gag. It is the equivalent to cafeteria food in my opinion.

I made your Russian Cream yesterday for my in-laws and everyone loved it. I especially love the colors of the pistachios, berries, and cream together. Thanks for the recipe!

  6. Alexandra:

I reckon Eric would DO the Helen Keller with you if you made a HK-inspired Little Tiny mobile of animals wagging their hips. just an idea. :)

  7. Little Gray Pixel:
